    I wonder if David’s refusal to let go of Gillian [his deceased wife in the 1996 film, To Gillian on Her 37th Birthday] might be sanity as opposed to insanity. The paradox is that we’re raised with the idea that true love is rare. We teach our teenagers to abstain from physical love until they find the partner who matches them emotionally.
