    Good news about the banker

    The other day, a colleague of mine gave a speech. He started out with a joke about a bank customer who keeps going to a branch and asking for the manager by name. He is told every time that the manager has died and he says oh and goes away, but he keeps coming back. Finally, an exasperated bank employee asks why he keeps coming back and asking for the manager, knowing that he is dead. The customer replies, “I just love to hear it.” John Hunkin, chairman and chief executive officer, Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce, speaking of banks and their customer relations.
